Most Active by Volume shows stocks with the number of shares traded in a certain period usually today.
To calculate it we add up all the shares bought and sold for each stock. Then we rank them from highest to lowest based on trading volume.
Most Active Volume stocks have liquidity and many people are interested in them. This means it's easier to buy or sell them and see price trends.
