Profit before tax rose 5.24% year-on-year to Rs 988.86 crore in Q2 FY26, compared to Rs 939.57 crore posted in Q2 FY25. The company's retail book witnessed a growth of 18% YoY to Rs 1,04,607 crore, while disbursements increased by 25% YoY to Rs 18,883 crore. Rural business finance quarterly disbursements stood at Rs 6,316 crore in Q2 FY26, up 16% compared with Rs 5,435 crore in Q2 FY25, while book size increased 3% YoY to Rs 27,460 crore in Q2 FY26. Growth was driven by improved collection efficiency and sectoral trends. Farmer finance disbursements fell 7% YoY to Rs 1,654 crore in Q2 FY26. The book size stood at Rs 15,943 crore, up 10% YoY. Two-wheeler finance disbursements rose 5% YoY to Rs 2,512 crore in Q2 FY26, compared with Rs 2,393 crore in Q2 FY25. The book size stood at Rs 13,013 crore in Q2 FY26, up 3% YoY. Personal loan disbursements surged 114% YoY to Rs 2,918 crore during the quarter. The book size climbed 52% YoY to Rs 10,878 crore in Q2 FY26. In Q2 FY26, home loan disbursements rose 7% to Rs 2,713 crore, compared with Rs 2,531 crore in Q2 FY25. The book size increased 26% YoY to Rs 27,407 crore during the quarter. SME finance disbursements jumped 18% to Rs 1,468 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 1,244 crore in Q2 FY25. The book size jumped 44% to Rs 7,465 crore in Q2 FY26, compared with Rs 5,190 crore in the same quarter last year. Gold loan disbursements in Q2 FY26 were Rs 983 crore, with the book size at Rs 1,475 crore. In Q2 FY26, the company's RoA stood at 2.41%, while RoE declined to 11.33%, down from 11.65% in Q2 FY25. L&T Finance offers financing for two-wheelers, consumer goods, homes, farm equipment, women entrepreneurs, rural groups, real estate, and infrastructure.
