The company's total domestic sales rose 31% year-on-year to 20,079 units in January 2026. Domestic sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) increased 30% to 12,833 units, while light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales grew 33% to 7,246 units in January 2026 compared to the same month last year. Ashok Leyland is involved in the manufacture and sale of a broad range of commercial vehicles and also makes engines for industrial and marine applications, as well as forgings and castings. The company reported a marginal rise in standalone net profit to Rs 771.06 crore in Q2 FY26, compared to Rs 770.10 crore posted in Q2 FY25. Revenue from operations jumped 9.34% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 9,588.18 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2025. Shares of Ashok Leyland fell 3.84% to close at Rs 189.20 on the BSE.
